This place is brand new but the food was absolutely spot on. If you want take a chance, this is the place to definitely go. The chef has 30+ years of experience an it is very much displayed with the taste of the food. Highly highly recommended.

Absolutely incredible! I recently moved to Michigan from Toronto for school and was seriously craving some pure Punjabi comfort food — this place delivered exactly what I needed. The butter chicken was the highlight of the whole meal — rich, creamy, perfectly spiced, and honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. If you come here, it’s a must-try without question. Everything tasted authentic, fresh, and made with so much love. If you’re looking for real Punjabi flavours & bomb mango lassi this spot is the one. Highly recommend!

Visited the newly opened 1947 Indian Restaurant, now run by a new owner, and had a great dining experience! We started with some samosas and veg pakoda — both were crispy, flavorful, and served hot. The popcorn chicken was a clear winner. For the main course, we tried the paneer kaju curry, which was creamy, rich, and full of authentic flavor. Friendly service, tasty food, and a welcoming atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back again soon!

Great friendly service complimented the very tasty food. Great gem within Novi. If you follow them on instagram you can also get a peek to the menu that day. As buffets went away during and after Covid it’s great to see them coming back and with high quality. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

My husband and I were craving Indian lunch buffet, and this place hit the right spot for us. Tender meats, variety of foods to eat, best curries, soft and crispy naan, and good amount of dessert! I also like their clear soup, especially on a cold day like today. Highly recommend this place!

I came in with my boys and ordered the 1947 platter. A must try if you want to taste multipe type of kebobs. I think this has become my fav Indian restaurant. The staff was the sweetest. Will come again. The picture doesn't do justice. It was a lot of food
